Today I want to share with you my experience about stolen photos.
Last week I got my report with my stolen photos, one of the photos was on istockphoto.com. I send email to iStockphoto compliance enforcement (ce@istockphoto.com), and a few hours later I got their response:
“Hi Alex,
Thanks for the email. Please accept this response to your support ticket as well regarding this matter.
Please be aware that our contributing Artist’s enter into an Agreement with iStockphoto, whereby they claim that they own the copyright to any and all of the stock they contribute to the site, when this is not the case we take the matter very seriously and will handle the matter accordingly.
Please be advised the image you have referenced is no longer available on our website.
Kind Regards,
Compliance Enforcement Officer”
iStockphoto removed stolen images immediately.
